TPL Co-Director Ryan Calo is one of the guests featured in a podcast with LAist about the debate over technology being used in policing. The LAPD recently approved the use of a robotic dog called ‘Spot’ and will be used in a limited number of situations. According to the podcast, the robotic dog will be used for hostage negotiations, hazardous materials assessment, and search and rescue situations.
