Society + Technology at UW, the new cross-campus program hosted by the Tech Policy Lab, has launched the program website at www.societyandtechnology.uw.edu.
The program is the outcome of the Technology & Society Task Force (TSTF), charged by the University of Washington President and Provost, and chaired by Tech Policy Lab Co-Director Ryan Calo.
Last winter, Monika Sengul-Jones joined the leadership team to implement the Task Force’s recommendations and strengthen ties across the UW’s three campuses and the School of Medicine to address the social, societal, and justice aspects of emerging technologies.
Society + Technology at UW’s new website features the program’s growing network of more than 100 Affiliates, which are the programs, centers, and researchers across the UW’s campuses, with expertise around the intersections of society and technology.
The website features a calendar with Affiliate events and Conversations with Society + Technology, an interview series with experts from Society + Technology at UW’s Affiliate network.
