Is Bitcoin the future of money? Maybe not, but block chain technology could be.From Bitcoin and Circle, to Venmo and Square Cash, there are many new popular forms of mobile payment. Circle recently announced a fifty million dollar investment round that included Goldman Sachs, as well as the new option for clients to keep their accounts in dollars. Calling themselves a consumer finance company that leverages Bitcoin technology, Circle is taking what was Bitcoin focused project to the larger mobile payment market. Simultaneously, having built consumer tools that make funds exchange easy to use, Venmo and Square Cash continue to grow in popularity. In this one day workshop we will explore both the technical and regulatory developments, with an eye towards what the future of payment could be.
