The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (The National Academies) will be hosting two events in partnership with UW on July 31 and Aug. 1 and 2.

The July 31 event, “Workshop on Secure Building Blocks for Trustworthy Systems,” will be based online. The session will examine progress, explore opportunities, and highlight actions toward the creation of secure software and hardware components and their use in building trustworthy systems. Workshop participants from industry, academia, and government will consider technical challenges and opportunities, incentives, and supportive public policy.

On Aug. 1 and 2, “Summer 2024 Meeting of the Forum on Cyber Resilience” will be held in Seattle. The meeting will welcome Google, Meta, UW, CHIPS-Manufacturing USA, and BBC and will explore topics including resilience, secure code generation, privacy and more.
