Co-Director Comments on Police Robots Using Lethal Force in San Francisco

Co-Director Ryan Calo shares his thoughts with NPR on San Francisco’s recent policy proposal in favor of allowing lethal force for police robots. Although arguing that lethal force-enabled robots may ultimately be safer for both law enforcement and suspects, co-director Calo also points out topics of concern such as police robot liability and the social implications that might entail from allowing police robots to kill humans.
