Calo was interviewed for a story covering the House passing legislation that could ban TikTok in the United States. He spoke to the challenges the legislation could face and other opportunities to address the security risks.

“I am concerned about what goes on on TikTok … but I’m also concerned about other platforms, including platforms in the United States. … I’m not saying there aren’t legitimate concerns or dangers, but I think strengthening consumer and citizen protections for Americans is the best way to address it,” he said.
