Research by TPL faculty associate Jan Whittington was highlighted in a recent article covering the development of a high-speed rail in the PNW.

The paper, “Keeping It On the Tracks,” identifies data and recommendations that will support the effective and efficient development of such a system.

“Oftentimes, [the U.S. is] in a leadership role in developing and growing technologies,” Whittington said. “But here, we’re in a position of needing to learn from people who have had success in their own countries.”
