On April 10, the University of Washington Information School will hold its third annual iAffiliates Day. This is an event that fosters new partnerships and showcases innovative work at the intersection of information, technology, and people.
The “Un-conference” Concept
This participant-driven event allows for an organic process where attendees create the agenda and guide the sessions. Topics will be presented in lightening presentations delivered at the start of the unconference and will spark ideas for the subsequent sessions. The day will be structured around a series of topics related to the work at the iSchool: Big data and data science, Digital youth, Information assurance and cybersecurity
Knowledge organization, Libraries and librarianship, Social media, User experience and human computer interaction (UX/HCI), Women in technology.
