Co-Founder Ryan Calo recently joined Good Day Seattle to discuss the future of AI and the Trump administration investment in the technology.

“There’s a lot of people in this administration … that think of this technology, of AI, as the most important technology of our time,” Calo said. “And furthermore, they think that whoever controls AI … is going to have dominance over other rivalist nations militarily or economically.”

He also dove into the ways that whoever controls AI will have greater power over information.

“There are concerns that whoever controls the AI infrastructure will have the ability to foist their narrative on everyone else.”

He briefly discussed DeepSeek, a Chinese AI company, and overarching ways that AI platforms can have an outsize impact on privacy and even facilitate spying.
